Christine Hanscomb has been a professional photographer for over 25 years having worked for most of the major advertising agencies in London, Paris and Milan.  She has also produced over 20 cook books ranging from Italian to South East Asia.

She has agents in all three cities and has worked worldwide including the United States, India, Africa, Germany, Turkey, Italy, and France.

Her specialisation is in food, people and children working in her own studio and on location. Having been an Art Director with Conde Nast for many years at Vogue and Brides- before taking up photography full time - she has a great eye for detail. Even whilst being an Art Director she always carried a camera and made many personal trips to photograph people and food on her travels.


Her clients include Sainsburys, Nestle, Campbells, Tesco, Cow & Gate, Pampers, Harrods, Safeway, Boots, Lindt, Kraft, Heinz, Chambourcy, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose. Previous publishers include Weidenfeld & Nicolson, Pavilion, Conran, Quadrille, Ryland Peters Small. She has worked on numerous cookery books with acredited chefs such as Antonio Carluccio - Taste of Italy, Maddhur Jaffrey - Taste of India, Jocasta Innes - Country Kitchens, Caroline & Terrence Conran - The Cook Book, Frances Bissell - The Ingredients Book

Anness commisioned her to work with Francoise Barbira renowned anthropologist on 2 yoga books and babies underwater "Aqua Yoga" where she developed a skill for photographing babies underwater. She was subsequently commisioned by AMV BBDO to shoot their underwater campaign for Milupa. She has since had many further commisions in this field and continues to follow her underwater passion.

She is currently planning a trip to the Himalayas next year to photograph the indigenous people which will culminate in a book and exhibition.
